LOCATION

Building entrance / address is located on Quai St Michel, between Place St Michel and Notre-Dame de Paris.
Of course within walking distance from La Sorbonne, from RER C St Michel station and many other metro or bus connections, and of course from Notre-Dame de Paris. .
A dream location indeed if you want to live in the center of Paris.

THE ROOM
It's a small room on the (French) 2nd floor, and yet it offers :
a single bed, a shower with toilet, a wash basin, a table, a chair, shelves, space to hang clothes, also a small refrigerator and a small television set (not yet on the pictures when they were made).
There is no kitchen but there is already a small refrigerator (now a little bigger and white), a kettle and a small microwave..

The phone plug is there already, and it is enough to order a phone number and get a simple telephone set, to have an operational phone line a couple of days later.

Possibly then as part of your own access to Internet if you order it, flat rate packages between approximately 17 and 45 euros per month, offered by several suppliers, allow to get some or all of following services :
- high speed access to Internet
- TV service including at least 20 channels, more if you would connect it to Internet
- phone service allowing unlimited calls to landlines of several countries, and sometimes also cell phones in the USA and Canada, and for the higher price also cell phones in France

The window giving on the narrow rue de la Huchette is facing south, that means brightness. It also offers double glazing which is a good protection against cold outside temperature in the winter, and noise when there is any outside. Electrical heating.

AVAILABILITY

The room will be available on December 20th, 2016.
One year lease ( if necessary may be cancelled earlier with advance notice period )

PRICE

Monthly rent including charges of the building and tax : 650 euros
Monthly flat rate for electricity : 40 euros
One time relocation fee payable upfront ( 600 euros for a 12 months rental )

Refundable safety and key deposit + rent payment guarantee, as usual in France.

NOTE :
- this is more independent than a room in a larger flat, as it is not in a larger flat.
- this is a bit less than a fully equipped studio because it has no real kitchen corner, even though there is equipment to keep and cook some food ( but this is NOT where you will cook a Christmas dinner for 12 friends )
- that is why we call it an independent room, and not a studio nor just a room.
But it is almost like a studio, just without a dedicated kitchen corner.
